Teen Mom’s Kailyn Lowry Shares Heartbreaking Way She Lost Her Virginity at Age 14

Kailyn Lowry is opening up about a traumatic experience.
The Teen Mom 2 alum participated in the cathartic "candy salad trauma dumping" social media trend by sharing the story of having sex for the first time as a teenager.
"When I was 14 years old," Kailyn recounted in a Aug. 25 TikTok video before pouring out a bag of Nerds Gummy Clusters into her candy salad, "I lost my virginity on a sidewalk without even knowing what sex was."
And that's not the only childhood memory that the 32-year-old considers part of her, as she put it, "villain origin story." Kailyn also listed off several other heartbreaking experiences she had as a young girl in the clip.
"When I was 6 months old, I was kidnapped and my mom found me in the hospital with pneumonia," Kailyn remembered before dumping a pack of Swedish Fish into her candy bowl. "When I was 9 years old, I woke up with a strange man in my bed. I have no idea how he got there, who he is or where he went afterwards."
Following the candid storytime, fans came out in support of the reality TV personality, with many noting that she's provided a much better life for her own kids, including son Isaac, 14, whom she shares with ex Jo Rivera, son Lincoln, 10, who she shares with ex Javi Marroquin, and sons Lux, 7, and Creed, 4 with ex Chris Lopez.
"Your story is the true meaning of breaking the cycle," one user commented under the video. "You're an amazing mom."
Another added, "You forgot, 'Hi, my name is Kail and I broke the cycle for my children.'"
Healthy and happy children aren't all Kailyn has to celebrate these days, either. Earlier this month, she announced her engagement to Elijah Scott—who shares 21-month old son Rio, as well as 8-month-old twins Valley and Verse with Kailyn—after two years of dating.
And the proposal went down exactly as the mom of seven hoped it would: very casually.
"He came into the bathroom while I was getting ready," Kailyn recalled during an Aug. 22 appearance on the Coffee Convos podcast, "and he gave me the ring. I was like, 'Oh my God, thank you!'"
She added, "We've both been married already, so we both don't care about the whole, 'get on one knee and make it all romantic and stuff,' because that's just not how we are."
